Overview

Our client, based in Dublin North, are a leading Engineering Contractor and currently require an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their Head Office team.

The Role:

  • Monitor and advise on adherence to Health and Safety legislation
  • Provide support and advice to line management, safety trained personnel and employees on all health and safety related matters.
  • Participate in incident management, follow up, investigation and reporting.
  • Conduct testing and monitoring of the Companies emergency plans
  • Schedule and deliver DSE assessor training

The Candidate:

  • Diploma or higher in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish safety, health and welfare legislation.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to disseminate information to stakeholders
  • Experience in hazard identification and risk assessment
  • Experience in carrying out audits and inspections and reporting on same
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Full clean drivers licence
